Community Foundation Announces Promotion

The Central New York Community Foundation has promoted Dashiell Elliott to Program Officer.

The Central New York Community Foundation has promoted Dashiell Elliott to Program Officer. She previously held the position of Program Manager. Dashiell is tasked with managing and implementing the Community Foundation’s grantmaking and associated programs that are designed to foster a thriving Central New York community.

Elliott leads the Community Foundation’s new Black Equity and Excellence Fund, which supports community-based projects for the Black community of Central New York by promoting and encouraging self-sufficiency while improving the physical and economic conditions that affect quality of life.

Dashiell enjoys ensuring that marginalized communities have access to resources, knowledge and funding in an equitable way and prides herself on working closely with residents and community members to feel supported throughout the grantmaking process. Dashiell has a background in nonprofit program creation and a degree in Nonprofit Management. Dashiell is originally from Auburn and has lived in Syracuse for the past 8 years.
