The Greater Pulaski Community Endowment Fund recently awarded $16,865 in grants to eight nonprofit organizations serving the Pulaski area.
Hunt of a Lifetime received $2,000 to take youth with life-threatening illnesses and disabilities on hunting and fishing trips. The trip will either take place in the Pulaski area or benefit youth participants from the Pulaski area.
Syracuse City Ballet received $1,500 to conduct a professional ballet performance in Kallet Theater that will give Pulaski dance students the opportunity to participate and interact with professional dancers.
United Friends of Homeless Animals received $7,500 to continue its Trap-Neuter-Release program for the village of Pulaski and town of Richland.
The Bear Team received $725 to purchase stuffed animals for children staying at the Central New York Ronald McDonald House while their siblings receive treatment at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital. Pulaski-based volunteers knit and sew outfits for the stuffed bears, providing socialization for local senior citizens and much-needed comfort to families affected by childhood chronic illness.
Rural and Migrant Ministry of Oswego County received $1,000 to support its operations and provide medical care to the underserved.
Salmon River Fine Arts Center received $1,000 to promote the creation, display, and appreciation of the fine arts in the Pulaski area.
Pulaski Community Ministries received $1,000 to support its food cupboard that provides meals and hygiene products to the underserved.
Pulaski-Boylston Snowmobile Club received $2,140 to groom its snowmobile trails and purchase equipment and marketing materials.
The Greater Pulaski Community Endowment Fund is a union of gifts contributed by the people of the Pulaski community that makes grants to support programs and projects of importance to the area. The Pulaski Fund is a component fund of the Central New York Community Foundation. Since its inception in 1992, the Fund has provided more than $290,000 in grants to benefit the Pulaski community.
